Aster Gentle Golden Baucher

The Aster Gentle Golden Baucher combines our Gentle mouthpiece with the stable, supportive action of a Baucher cheek, creating a quiet and considered bit for horses that benefit from a consistent feel in the mouth. The Gentle mouthpiece has been designed to provide a broad, comfortable bearing surface over the entire mouth, helping to distribute pressure rather than concentrating it over a smaller area.
A key feature of the Baucher cheek is the way the mouthpiece is suspended from a separate upper cheek attachment. This changes the relationship between the bit and bridle and is designed to reduce backward drag through the mouth and jaw compared with cheek arrangements where the mouthpiece is pulled more directly backwards by the rein. For horses that are sensitive through the jaw, TMJ or poll region, reducing this backward component can create a more comfortable, less restrictive feel and may help the horse remain softer through the jaw and poll. The fixed Baucher cheek also provides greater stability than a loose ring, holding the mouthpiece in a more consistent position and providing additional lateral guidance.
