The Aster Cushion Gentle Curve Kimblewick+ combines the anatomical profile of the Gentle Curve mouthpiece with a supple leather covering and Aster’s more direct Kimblewick+ cheek. Designed for horses that benefit from a softer interface within the mouth but require a clearer, more concentrated rein action, it brings together cushioning, stability and additional rider influence.
The Gentle Curve mouthpiece follows the natural contours of the mouth, creating a smooth, accommodating profile over the tongue. Within the Cushion range, this mouthpiece is covered in supple leather, creating a softer interface between the bit and the tongue and surrounding oral structures.
Leather provides a distinctly different feel from an uncovered metal mouthpiece and can be particularly useful for horses that show a strong preference for a softer surface within the mouth. As with any leather-covered mouthpiece, correct care and regular inspection are important to maintain the condition and integrity of the covering.
