Designed for horses that benefit from a softer interface within the mouth but require a clearer, more concentrated rein action, it brings together cushioning, stability and additional rider influence.

The Gentle Curve mouthpiece follows the natural contours of the mouth, creating a smooth, accommodating profile over the tongue. Within the Cushion range, this mouthpiece is covered in supple leather, creating a softer interface between the bit and the tongue and surrounding oral structures.

Leather provides a distinctly different feel from an uncovered metal mouthpiece and can be particularly useful for horses that show a strong preference for a softer surface within the mouth. As with any leather-covered mouthpiece, correct care and regular inspection are important to maintain the condition and integrity of the covering.

The Kimblewick+ has been developed as a more direct version of the standard Aster Kimblewick. Smaller, fixed rein connections create a more concentrated rein action, allowing the rider to access greater influence through a smaller and more defined connection point.

This makes the Kimblewick+ a considered option for horses that require more influence but continue to benefit from the softer feel of the Cushion Gentle Curve mouthpiece. The intention is not simply to create a stronger bit, but to provide a clearer and more defined rein action while retaining a soft, accommodating interface within the mouth.

MAY PARTICULARLY SUIT HORSES THAT:

• Show a preference for a leather-covered mouthpiece.
• Benefit from a softer, cushioned interface within the mouth.
• Prefer a smooth, gently curved mouthpiece profile.
• Require greater rider influence than provided by the standard Aster Kimblewick.
• Benefit from a more direct and defined rein connection.
• Need additional control while retaining a softer mouthpiece surface.
• Become strong or difficult to rebalance in more exciting situations.
• Benefit from a stable cheek with clearly defined rein action.
• Are sensitive to the feel of uncovered metal mouthpieces.
• Require a combination of softness within the mouth and greater definition from the cheek.

DESIGN FEATURES:

• Part of the Aster Cushion leather-covered range.
• Aster Gentle Curve mouthpiece profile.
• Supple leather covering creates a softer, cushioned interface.
• Smooth, gently curved mouthpiece designed to follow the contours of the mouth.
• Kimblewick+ cheek provides a more direct action than the standard Aster Kimblewick.
• Smaller, fixed rein connections create a more concentrated rein aid.
• Stable cheek design.
• Designed to combine a softer mouthpiece interface with greater rider influence.
• Leather covering requires appropriate care and regular inspection.
• Developed for horses that benefit from softness in the mouth without sacrificing clarity and definition of the rein aid.
