Confidence II is an educational mouthpiece, intended to give the horse a stable platform from which to understand the basic rein aids before progressing, where appropriate, to a more mobile style of mouthpiece.

Confidence II features a gently curved, double-jointed mouthpiece with a very small central lozenge. Its lock-up action limits excessive collapse and movement through the joints without making the mouthpiece completely rigid. This creates a more stable and predictable feel across the tongue, helping to reduce the movement that can sometimes make the contact difficult for a young, green or inconsistent horse to interpret.

The Dee Ring complements this stability by providing lateral support and a clear directional aid. Its fixed design creates a more immediate and consistent connection than a loose ring, while the shape of the cheek can assist with steering and turning. This makes the Confidence II Dee Ring particularly useful during the early stages of education, and it has become a popular choice for breaking and starting young horses.

Constructed from titanium, the mouthpiece is exceptionally lightweight, reducing both weight and bulk within the mouth. This can be particularly valuable for finer or more sensitive horses, or those that appear uncomfortable with the weight and substance of a more traditional mouthpiece.

The aim of Confidence II is not to increase the strength of the rein aid, but to make that aid easier for the horse to understand. By establishing a clear, stable connection first, the horse can develop confidence in the hand before greater movement and refinement are introduced later in its education.

MAY PARTICULARLY SUIT HORSES THAT:

• Are young, green or in the early stages of their ridden education.
• Are being broken or started and require clear steering and directional aids.
• Need greater stability within the mouth.
• Dip in and out of the contact or struggle to maintain a consistent connection.
• Become confused or unsettled by excessive mouthpiece movement.
• Hang or become inconsistent on one rein.
• Are sensitive to the action of a conventional single-jointed mouthpiece.
• Have a finer or more sensitive mouth and benefit from reduced weight and bulk.
• Need encouragement to confidently work forward into a consistent contact.
• Are ready to establish the foundations required for more refined communication later in their education.

DESIGN FEATURES:

• Aster Confidence II educational mouthpiece.
• Double-jointed lock-up design.
• Very small central lozenge.
• Gently curved profile.
• Lock-up action limits excessive collapse and unnecessary movement.
• Designed to provide a stable, predictable connection.
• Titanium construction for an exceptionally lightweight feel.
• Dee Ring cheek for increased stability and lateral support.
• Fixed cheek creates an immediate, consistent rein connection.
• Dee shape supports steering and directional aids.
• Popular choice for breaking and starting young horses.
• Designed as a foundation from which the horse can progress to more mobile and refined mouthpieces.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0954/3453/9348/files/5_d8f26d80-e1ab-432f-ad50-22cc5642c94e.png?v=1790595697
