Confidence II is an educational mouthpiece, giving the horse a stable platform from which to understand the rein aids and develop confidence in the contact.

The gently curved, double-jointed mouthpiece incorporates a very small central lozenge and Aster’s lock-up action. This limits excessive collapse and movement through the joints without making the mouthpiece completely rigid, creating an even, predictable feel across the tongue.

This can be particularly useful for horses that become inconsistent in the contact, dip in and out of the connection or appear confused by excessive movement. The double-jointed profile can also offer an alternative for horses that are sensitive to the action of a single joint.

The Dee Ring provides additional stability and lateral support, helping to make steering and directional aids clear. The fixed cheek creates a more immediate and consistent rein connection than a loose ring, making this combination particularly useful when establishing the fundamentals of turning, lateral guidance and a confident forward connection.

The Sweet Iron mouthpiece naturally oxidises with use, producing its characteristic taste, which can encourage acceptance and salivation. Combined with the stability of the Confidence II design and Dee Ring cheek, it creates a practical educational bit for young and developing horses and those that need greater consistency from the contact.

MAY PARTICULARLY SUIT HORSES THAT:

• Are young, green or developing their understanding of the rein aids.
• Are being broken or started and require additional steering support.
• Need a stable and predictable mouthpiece.
• Become unsettled or confused by excessive movement.
• Dip in and out of the contact.
• Hang or become inconsistent on one rein.
• Are sensitive to conventional single-jointed mouthpieces.
• Benefit from the characteristic taste and feel of Sweet Iron.
• Need encouragement towards acceptance and salivation.
• Need a clear foundation before progressing to a more mobile mouthpiece.

DESIGN FEATURES:

• Aster Confidence II educational mouthpiece.
• Double-jointed lock-up construction.
• Very small central lozenge.
• Gently curved profile.
• Lock-up action limits excessive collapse and unnecessary movement.
• Sweet Iron mouthpiece naturally oxidises with use.
• Characteristic Sweet Iron taste can encourage acceptance and salivation.
• Dee Ring provides stability and lateral guidance.
• Fixed cheek creates a clear and consistent rein connection.
• Supports steering and directional aids.
• Popular choice for breaking and starting young horses.
• Designed to establish confidence before introducing greater mouthpiece mobility.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0954/3453/9348/files/9_585fc0e4-b479-46d0-af9b-d74b8bfe0213.png?v=1790596680
