While the mouthpiece retains the broad, comfortable tongue-bearing surface of our Gentle design, the locking mechanism limits the degree of movement through the centre, creating greater stability and reducing the independent movement of the mouthpiece. This can be particularly useful for horses that become unsettled by excessive movement or seek a more consistent feel from the rider's hand. This changes the relationship between the bit and bridle and is designed to reduce backward drag through the mouth and jaw compared with cheek arrangements where the mouthpiece is pulled more directly backwards by the rein. For horses that are sensitive through the jaw, TMJ or poll region, reducing this backward component can create a more comfortable, less restrictive feel and may help the horse remain softer through the jaw and poll. The fixed Baucher cheek also provides greater stability than a loose ring, holding the mouthpiece in a more consistent position and providing additional lateral guidance.

The Golden mouthpiece offers a warm, tactile material that many horses find pleasant in the mouth and is designed to encourage acceptance and salivation. The titanium construction keeps the mouthpiece exceptionally lightweight, making it particularly suitable for horses that dislike the weight or bulk of more traditional bits.

The fixed Dee Ring cheeks reduce unnecessary movement at the sides of the mouth and provide greater stability than a loose ring, while the broad shape of the cheeks offers clear lateral guidance during turning and steering. This makes the Gentle Titanium Dee Ring particularly useful for horses that need softness within the mouth but benefit from greater support and definition from the cheek.

Unlike leverage or curb cheeks, the Dee Ring provides direct communication without introducing additional curb action, making it a versatile option for everyday schooling, jumping and competition. The result is a beautifully lightweight, stable bit designed to provide a soft tongue interface while keeping communication clear, gentle and consistent.

MAY PARTICULARLY SUIT HORSES THAT:

• Prefer a stable, quiet mouthpiece rather than excessive movement.

• Become unsettled, busy or inconsistent in loose-ring bits.

• Are sensitive to concentrated tongue pressure.

• Prefer a broad, comfortable area of contact over the tongue.

• Dislike heavy or bulky mouthpieces.

• Benefit from the exceptionally lightweight feel of titanium.

• Need additional lateral guidance for turning and steering.

• Benefit from greater support at the sides of the mouth.

• Tend to feel less confident in very mobile mouthpieces.

• Need clear, direct and gentle communication without leverage or curb action.

• Go well in the Gentle mouthpiece and require a stable cheek for schooling, jumping or competition.

DESIGN FEATURES:

• Aster Gentle mouthpiece with exceptionally smooth joints.

• Lightweight titanium construction.

• Broad tongue-bearing surface designed to avoid unnecessarily concentrated pressure.

• Fixed Dee Ring cheeks for increased stability.

• Broad cheek profile providing additional lateral guidance and support.

• Reduced movement at the corners of the mouth compared with a loose ring.

• Direct rein action without curb leverage.

• Designed for horses that benefit from softness within the mouth combined with stability and clear lateral communication.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0954/3453/9348/files/5_fb08772f-d78a-4440-9c2b-c3d11085c50c.png?v=1786688705
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0954/3453/9348/collections/1_426a7ade-a828-4028-a165-7843b9fd8b79.png?v=1786776176
